I was born in Essex (and proud of it!) and moved to Italy in my first year. I grew up near Lake Garda and stayed there until I was seven. I Continued my education in England. Being me, I went to work in the financial industry before deciding to go to university as a mature student. I completed my BEd(Hons) in London and started my professional life as a year 6 teacher in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The primary school was near Tottenham, north London - unfortunately not White Hart Lane! I then came to Rome briefly, for a couple of years and taught at another International School in Rome where I fell in love with the city, culture and people. I went back to teach in Hampshire, England for three years and during this time I missed La Dolce Vita immensely. It’s a pleasure to be back in Rome and I’m really enjoying working at St George’s. I am looking forward to studying for the MA, developing my career and rewards that it will bring to my teaching.
